All molded connector loops are constructed with 16-gauge copper wire except for the 8-contact connector. The 8-way connector is manufactured with three 12-gauge wires and five 16-gauge wires. For large road applications and trailer connections, a 7-way connector is common. For a convenient way to connect a simple trailer to your vehicle, a 6-way trailer connector is ideal.
