Test Vehicle Efficiency with Del City's Hydrometers
Menomonee Falls, WI (June, 2012) - Del City offers a variety of hydrometers to test that a vehicle is operating efficiently. Select from battery,
antifreeze and windshield wiper fluid testers to identify if the acids or solutions are at their proper levels.
The battery hydrometer tests battery acid and suggests a low, fair or good
rating in the range of 1. 100 - 1.300 sg. The windshield washer hydrometer
tests methanol and the antifreeze hydrometer tests ethylene glycol on a temperature scale from -51°C to 0°C
(-60°F to 32°F), suggesting that the solutions are properly mixed to prevent freezing. Hydrometers are made of plastic with
a rubber squeeze bulb that can extract up to 4 oz. To test, simply insert the rubber tubing into the area being tested, squeeze the bulb
and review the readout.
