Insulated Continuous Solenoid Switch - SPST, 12V

Solenoids are relays that are commonly used to remotely switch a heavier current. By using a solenoid, the amount of heavy wiring needed to power the load is reduced since the control circuit typically uses a smaller gauge wire. Solenoids are used to control starter and winch motors but they also have other uses on a variety of vehicles. Insulated solenoids have studs that are electrically isolated from the housing. They are idea for highly corrosive areas or if the mounting location/surface is not electrically conductive.

  • A solenoid is a current carrying coil of wire wrapped around an iron core that when energized creates a magnetic field which produces a high current and force, making it a very advantageous option because it allow for a low input while generating a large output as in the case of a starter solenoid.

Insulated Continuous Solenoid Switch - SPST, 24V 100A

This 24 volt insulated continuous solenoid switch features a single pole single throw actuation style and is advantageous from using relays because it generates a larger output while allowing a low input. Ideally, this switch is used for motor on-off controls, winches, and other heavy electric motor applications.

Insulated Continuous Solenoid Switch - DPST, 12V 85A

This 12 volt insulated continuous solenoid features a double pole single throw actuation style. Solenoid switches are advantageous from using relays because it generates a larger output while allowing a low input. Ideal for motor on-off controls, winches, snow plows and other heavy electric motor applications.

  • Solenoids are a current carrying coil of wire wrapped around an iron core that when energized creates a magnetic field which produces a high current and force.
  • Similar to a relay, but unlike regular relays solenoids are used for heavy-duty applications like a motor on-off control.
  • Solenoids are advantageous because they allow for a low input while generating a larger output, as in the case of a starter solenoid.
  • Rated for 12V DC.
