RELiON® LT Series lithium iron phosphate batteries are cold-weather performance batteries that can charge at temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F). The LT Series is built with an integrated heater that seamlessly heats and charges the battery. These batteries are manufactured with LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cell chemistry. They are safe, stable and generate very little heat. Since it’s integrated into one compact package, no other components are needed. It’s easy to just plug and go! Upgrading from any standard battery installation is simple because the RELiON® LT Series is the same size, configuration and connectivity. That makes these an easy choice for anyone that wants a fast charging, longer lasting, maintenance free battery in freezing temperatures. Depending on how cold it is and which LT models you are using, the BMS sources 5 to 15 charging amps to power the heating element. Heating usually takes between one and 1.5 hours to thoroughly heat batteries to specified temperatures. LT batteries may NOT be connected in series, but can be connected in parallel.
