Designed for general-purpose use, Cole Hersee offers isolators rated for negative ground alternator systems with outputs ranging from 70 to 250 amps (12-36V DC).
Each isolator has a "per leg" rating, indicating the maximum current it can supply to either battery. This rating is always half the alternator's maximum output. For example, Del City Item #948051, rated at 75A, can deliver up to 37.5A per leg. Built for durability and reliable performance, Cole Hersee isolators are intended for negative ground systems and are not suitable for use with self-energizing alternators.
