Smart, Reliable Power Management for Vehicle Auxiliary Batteries
InPower’s ABS3 Series Auxiliary Battery Switches provide a smart, reliable solution for managing power between a vehicle’s chassis and auxiliary batteries. These switches charge the auxiliary battery from the chassis battery and alternator while protecting the chassis battery from auxiliary load discharge. Thanks to their bidirectional design, any charging source connected to the auxiliary battery—such as a battery charger or genset—can also charge the chassis battery. Replacing outdated battery isolators and mechanical separators, the ABS3 leverages patented solid-state contactor and Cool Terminal technology. Advanced microprocessor algorithms monitor over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-temperature conditions, while LoadLogic technology compensates for initial surge currents and accurately detects dead short faults for superior protection and performance.
